Linda Fargo at Carven
I’m always thinking of Linda Fargo at this time of year because of the fabulous Bergdorf Goodman holiday windows. Here she is looking great outside the Carven show in Paris. She told me the lips necklace is just a novelty item she picked up somewhere – it adds a little fun to an elegant black and white look.
Zanna Roberts Rassi at Rag & Bone
Ulyana Sergeenko at Valentino SS2014
Designer Ulyana Sergeenko wore a beautiful blue dress of her own design to the Valentino show in Paris, combining it with a gray sweater underneath. A great mix. Detail shot after the jump. (more…)
Leather Vest and Military Dress, Outside Rag & Bone
Giovanna Battaglia at Rochas
A really fun moment with Giovanna Battaglia outside the Rochas show in Paris. She wore a (vintage?) Alaia leopard print dress and yellow Fendi bag. Très chic!
Blue Suede Boots, Outside Missoni
Boots: they’re one of my favorite things about fall. As sad as it may be to put away flip flops for the next seven months, there’s something eminently satisfying about stomping around in a great pair of boots, as Nancy Sinatra famously noted. A guest at the Missoni show paired these blue suede ones with black knee socks underneath for a cool peekaboo effect, mixed with a crisp black and white dress. Look for more knee-high and over-the-knee boots this fall.
Helena Bordon at Roberto Cavalli
Helena Bordon wore a cool mix of blue-and-white ikat jacket, black suede skirt and Adidas tee to the Roberto Cavalli show in Milan. The zebra-print boots are the finishing touch: not as dressy as stiletto pumps, but just as sexy and more comfortable for stomping around in all day.
Joanna Hillman at Miu Miu
By now you know the Kenzo sweatshirts that have been everywhere this year, but the last word in luxury sweatshirts is Givenchy. Some have a religious icon theme, some an American flag theme, and some a fabulous mashup of the two, as seen on Joanna Hillman at the Miu Miu show. Also, she’s wearing a gold Scorpio necklace – detail after the jump. Fashion Scorpios, unite! (more…)
Viviana Volpicella at Valentino
Another example of the full skirts à la Dior that are in fashion now. When splashed with a big print, they’re like a pretty canvas, as on Viviana Volpicella at the Valentino show. Like how she has paired it with a simple navy blue sweater and button-down shirt to keep it grounded.
Julia Sarr-Jamois at Chloe and Celine
Julia Sarr-Jamois is back on the scene! We have missed seeing her this Fashion Month. On the day of the Celine and Chloe shows, she wore a bright orange mini skirt with multicolor running shoes, a gray sweater and Prada sunglasses. A great example of how to mix athletic and feminine items in one cool look. Close up shot of her Prada sunglasses and cute iPhone cover, after the jump.
Helena Bordon at Issey Miyake
Loved this look on Brazil’s Helena Bordon at yesterday’s Issey Miyake show. Mixing ripped jeans and a quirky athletic-inspired tee with a floral trench and heels is daring, but it all comes together beautifully. She said that the jeans got so ripped that she had to safety pin them, but guess what? Ripped, safety-pinned jeans are definitely in fashion.
Anna Wintour at Missoni
Anna Wintour was perfectly turned out on a hot fall afternoon at the Missoni show in a Louis Vuitton floral and lace skirt
Kate Lanphear at Armani
This has got to be one of my favorite outfits Kate Lanphear of T Magazine has ever worn. Just pure inky black from head to toe, with a thin leather top, mid-calf skirt and the new over-the-ankle boots. She is true to her original style while giving a nod to new trends, and she gets more sophisticated every year.
Christine Centenera at Dolce & Gabbana
Vogue Australia‘s Christine Centenera looked amazing in a Peter Pilotto graphic print dress at yesterday’s Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan. The London-based Pilotto has quickly become a favorite of the fashion set.
