Tiffany Reid and Nicole Chapoteau at Hugo Boss FW2020
Loved the Italian colors on Tiffany Reid and Nicole Chapoteau in Milan. Look for more of these long leather or faux leather coats this spring – they’re so versatile and great in many types of weather.
Last Year in Paris: Mary Leest at Redemption SS2020
Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl at Etro FW2020
Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl in beautifully tailored blazers at the Etro show this February. Even though the weather is still over 80 degrees, blazers and cozy sweaters are two things that have me looking forward to fall.
WFH Fit: Gilda Ambrosio at Alberta Ferretti FW2020
Quarantine chic! Thinking of our Italian friends as restrictions are slowly lifted there. This look on Gilda Ambrosio works no matter what the circumstances.
WFH Beauty: Going Green
In which we imagine what would look cool on the other end of a Zoom call: green extensions and matching tinted glasses, plus oversize earrings.
Spring Forward: Belted Coat, Outside Self-Portrait FW2020
A great look outside the Self-Portrait show in NYC. Belted coats are still going strong, and I’m really feeling this bright kelly green color for spring.
Bella Hadid at Alberta Ferretti FW2019
Pretty sure that model Bella Hadid made this girl’s day when she posed for a selfie right after this shot was taken. Coveralls and workwear are a thing now. I like how Bella mixed hers with a (faux?) fur hat and luxe shades to glam it up.
Seasonless Dressing: Tessa Barton at NYFW, February 2018
But get ready for a cold one here in NYC… looks like it’s going to be below freezing for much of NYFW!!
Spring Layers, Noho, April 2018
A cute look on Lafayette Street on a particularly warm day. Especially love the accessories: navy bucket bag, ballet flats round sunglasses – and of course, a wonderfully shaggy dog.
Sneakers and Socks, Astor Place, April 2018
So I was specifically trying to photograph women in open-toe shoes last weekend for an assignment, and I was surprised to see just how many young women were wearing sneakers instead. It was actually hard to find any open-toe shoes, even on a 70-degree day. You could write it off to people not being pedicure-ready at this time of year, but I also saw this last summer late in the season. Like the kids are just not having it with the whole schlepping-around-in-strappy-shoes-that-give-you-blisters thing. What would Carrie Bradshaw say? Something tells me they don’t care.
The White Stripes: Loulou de Saison at Tory Burch FW2018
Leave it to Loulou de Saison to come up with a sort of postmodern Breakfast at Tiffany’s look, in optic white with cat eye sunglasses. Love it!
Black, White and Red All Over: Caroline Daur at Altuzarra FW2018
Street Style Sashay, Outside Giambattista Valli FW2018
It’s not a performance if you don’t have an audience! Drivers at Paris Fashion Week observed a street style shoot taking place in the middle of the road outside Giambattista Valli.
Follow Me on Instagram: Shiona Turini and Eva Chen at Giambattista Valli FW2018
Shiona Turini being trailed by Instagram’s Eva Chen, who was most likely doing one of her wildly popular live videos. They are one of the best ways to watch the fashion shows – if your own invitation was lost in the Paris mail, of course.
