Edie Campbell at Louis Vuitton
In the final moments of Paris fashion week, model Edie Campbell opened Marc Jacobs’ final show for Louis Vuitton wearing little more than Stephen Sprouse-inspired body paint. Definitely watch the show online if you haven’t seen it already – it’s gorgeous and will surely be a historic moment in fashion. Then, she exited the tents still in full body paint – with rolly bag, on her way to the airport! It’s Edie’s trademark insouciant cool. Models: they aren’t just like us, and God bless them for it.

Welcome to Milan fashion week! First show: Gucci. We’ve seen a lot of black and white on the streets this season but not a lot of gray, which may be why this elegant and sporty look in gray and white seemed like such a breath of fresh air. Trendsetter and street style muse Miroslava Duma wore a couple of sportswear-inspired dresses during Paris couture week, including this blue and orange colorblocked Dior dress at the Dior couture show. Two Girls at the Parisian Ball, Governor’s Island
This summer has presented some real sartorial challenges when it comes to outdoor events in NYC. This Saturday’s new Parisian Ball on Governor’s Island, a big Bastille Day bash complete with vintage carnival rides, started out drizzly but hot for a long event that wouldn’t end til midnight. These two guests rose to the challenge with outdoor festival wear that’s practical but pretty – overalls paired with nautical stripes and a blue and red head wreath on the left and a blue and white print top with red and white earrings on the right.
