Hanneli Mustaparta in Valentino, Outside the Show SS2015
Hanneli Mustaparta looked gorgeous in a yellow bird print Valentino dress from the resort 2015 collection that was just perfect on her.
On the Fringe: Micol Sabbadini at Fendi SS2015
If there was one trend takeaway from the S/S 2015 season, it was fringe. It was everywhere: on skirts, on bags, on shoes. A green suede fringe skirt looked beautiful in motion on Micol Sabbadini at the Fendi show in Milan.
White After Labor Day: Ece Sukan at Elie Saab SS2015
You might want to take advantage of the next few days of 70+ degree weather in NYC to wear all white, a trend that kept going in Paris long after August had ended. Turkish Vogue‘s Ece Sukan cut a sharp profile in a white cotton jacket and skirt with a side slit.
Bandana-Rama: Soo Joo Park, After Chanel SS2015
Model Soo Joo Park left the Chanel show clad in Chanel, including a double C printed bandana-style silk scarf. Bandana motifs have been big both at Chanel and Saint Laurent, and if you don’t have the budget for one of these designs, you can always get in on the trend with just a regular black and white paisley-print bandana, $2.99 at Ricky’s.
Jump! Giovanna Battaglia at Valentino SS2015
Una di noi! Giovanna Battaglia jumped in the air during her impromptu modeling shoot in our street style “studio” in the Tuileries.
More Celebrating: Justin O’Shea at Veronika Heilbrunner at Valentino SS2015
One of the guys – Pier of Models Jam – thought it would be a good idea if we set up our own “photo pit” in the Tuileries to catch all the models as they went by. Pier and his Italian photographer comrades started with three chairs and a tripod. More photographers gathered alongside them, then a bunch of tourists formed at the sidelines, and before you know it we had created a sort of huge arena, or “studio,” as we called it, in the middle of the Tuileries. Justin O’Shea and Veronika Heilbrunner danced it up for the cameras. Such a fun moment.
Miroslava Duma at Balmain SS2015
This coat by Dries van Noten looks like a winner for fall/winter 2014. Editor and trendsetter Miroslava Duma, who wore a silver and black one to the Ralph Lauren show, wore a second version in burgundy and blue stripes to the Balmain show in Paris.
Chiara Ferragni at Chanel SS2015
One fun thing about the Chanel show is seeing all the clothes and bags outside the show in real life on real girls. Chiara Ferragni looked fab in a colorful Chanel dress and bag from the F/W 2014 supermarket-themed collection.
Natalie Joos at Carven SS2015
Overalls are in, but they’re even better when they’re vintage. Natalie Joos wore a cute blue and white vintage pair to the Carven show in Paris.
Three Street Style Stars, Outside Dior SS2015
Definitely one of the highlights of Paris fashion week so far: seeing these three lovely ladies – Giovanna Battaglia, Anya Ziourova and Anna Dello Russo – together at Dior.
Traveling in Style: Catherine Baba at Haider Ackermann
This was one of those “only at Paris Fashion Week” moments outside the Haider Ackerman show. The ever-chic stylist Catherine Baba made a grand exit by bike. She was one of several to wear all white this week while the weather’s still hot – plus of course a Chinese sun hat that’s become her signature look.
Jacket Weather: Christina Pitanguy at Cedric Charlier SS2015
Welcome to Paris Fashion Week! The weather has cooled off a little here, which means the fashion flock is breaking out jackets, boots and pants. Brazil’s Christina Pitanguy wore black layers to yesterday’s Cedric Charlier show, mixing a black Prada jacket with Stella McCartney pants, shoes and bag by Saint Laurent and a crystal shark tooth necklace by a Brazilian designer.
JJ Martin at Fendi SS2015
Silk Scarves Are Back: Sasha Luss After Fendi
Normcore is one thing, but the return of the brightly colored silk scarf might provoke more dejà vu in some of us. This ’90s staple was seen loosely tied on many a fashionable neck at the Milan shows, which is nowhere near the Upper East Side BTW. After the Fendi show, model Sasha Luss paired hers with a trench and cuffed jeans.
Eleonora Carisi at Just Cavalli SS2015
One of the best things about getting dressed in warm weather: it can be as simple as just putting on a pretty dress. Work it for as long as you can, since fall is coming soon. Eleonora Carisi of Jou Jou Villeroy wore a pink snakeskin print Just Cavalli dress to the show in Milan.
