Marina Larroude at Derek Lam
Such a pretty summery look on Style.com’s Marina Larroude. Love how she chose ankle-strap heels in a mossy green to complete the outfit. Unexpected and chic.
Ada Kokosar at Alexander Wang
A cool and unusual look on Ada Kokosar on a hot and steamy day: brown silk fringe blouse and a baby blue pleated skirt. The pop on blue on the bag brings it all together.
Printed Pants and Hermes Bag, Lincoln Center
Bring on the heat! One benefit of scorching temperatures: there’s no reason not to break out your most colorful, tropical prints, like these printed pants seen on a guest at New York fashion week. Paring them with a simple black tee and black Hermes bag keeps the look from going over the top, but the blue mesh earrings are still fun, colorful and light.
Photographer in Layers at Fendi
This look is all about the mix – love how she fearlessly pairs lilac suede booties with a green print tee over an orange and white striped dress. It’s a new way of layering that really works for summer.
Zanna Roberts Rassi at Lincoln Center
Zanna Roberts Rassi cleverly layered a cross-print sundress with a black tee underneath and motorcycle jacket on top for a great combination of edgy and girly.
Olivia Chantecaille at Peter Som
Floral prints have come a long way now that they’ve gone high tech, with an unprecedented richness of detail and saturated color. Olivia Chantecaille wore a bright pink and red floral dress to the Peter Som show, balancing it out with discreet black sunglasses, bag and shoes.
Justin O’Shea at Victoria Beckham
Justin O’Shea nimbly jumped through the snow in his bespoke lace-up boots outside the Victoria Beckham show. His graceful recovery, next page.
Michelle Harper at Jason Wu
Michelle Harper has the most amazing personal style that always seems to reference vintage, though her clothes are often by up-and-coming American designers. She’s like a 1920s flapper who’s been airlifted to modern times. At the Jason Wu show, she wore a black fur coat and a black turban with red lipstick, perfect for blowing a kiss in the snow.
Kate Lanphear at Ruffian
Kate Lanphear, now the style director of T Magazine, bundled up for the Ruffian show at 9am the day after blizzard Nemo with a long black fur vest layered under a midnight blue coat. Her black beanie hat has a fur/faux fur pom pom, another micro trend that’s hitting now. Her companion is practically dressed for the cold with boots and a down coat. Much better than a few people who showed up at Lincoln Center in things like strapless gowns during a blizzard… yes, that happened!
Anya Ziourova at Jason Wu
Russian Tatler editor Anya Ziourova wore black and white, including an optic white fur jacket and black leather top, to yesterday’s Jason Wu show.
Miroslava Duma at Jason Wu
Miroslava Duma wore a beautiful CĂ©line colorblock coat and pink knit hat to the Jason Wu show yesterday during the onset of the big snowstorm. She drew a huge crowd of photographers:
David Thielebeule at Timo Weiland
David Thielebeule, who recently moved from Allure to become fashion market and accessories director at WSJ, also wore blue and black to the first day of shows at Lincoln Center. He’s also sporting a cool new haircut with shaved sides that nods to ’90s punk. Men: take note.
Lisa Marie Fernandez in the Tuileries
Another version of winter white is bright, optic white, which looked particularly sharp on designer Lisa Marie Fernandez at Valentino.
