Glamour‘s Christina Perez is one of the newest editors to make a sartorial splash at NY fashion week. At the BCBG show, she wore black and white with red Superga sneakers. Black skater skirts in silk or leather were a popular choice on guests at the shows.

The rest of the world may be on vacation, but some of us are already obsessing over spring/summer 2014 fashion week, which begins less than two weeks from today (!). For models and photographers, fashion week involves a lot of running around – literally. A sportif look like Hanne Gaby’s after the Giambattista Valli show is both comfortable and chic. Black and Blue, Outside Jason Wu
Crappy weather – we get a lot of it in New York. And every time it sleets sideways I can’t help but think of other times we’ve encountered similarly crappy weather, as at the Jason Wu show during NY Fashion Week. One guest managed it with style by mixing a navy coat with black leather pants, silver high tops and a baseball cap. The orange vest underneath her coat is a nice pop of color – and great for added warmth.

Cara Delevingne at Louis Vuitton
Happy end of fashion week!
As you can imagine from these four weeks straight of fashion week photos, it’s a long haul, and by the end people get a little crazy – usually in a good way. After the Louis Vuitton, top model Cara Delevingne broke free of her security detail and sprinted across the plaza holding a blue plush head rest and jumbo bag of peanut M&Ms, gleefully mixing with teenage fans who’d waited hours to get her photo. Then, as the French security guys shouted and looked on in utter befuddlement, she did some Rockette high kicks for us in her Chanel high tops and shirt that read “Last Clean T-Shirt.” Unforgettable.

Polo Street Chic: Ivory Romper and Wedge Sneakers
Love the combination of modern and traditional in this look at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. The romper and wedge sneakers are very summer 2012, but the mix of ivory cotton and pale brown leather shoes goes back to the 1920s.

Bonnaroo Street Chic: White Tunic and Fanny Pack
Cute bikini cover-ups were a key part of getting dressed every day at Bonnaroo. This white cotton tunic with a lace edge is breezy and pretty on one of many guests who opted for a fanny pack instead of a handbag. The print socks and Keds add a little bit of quirk.
