Eleonora Carisi at Ann Demeulemeester
Eleonora Carisi of popular Italian fashion blog JouJou Villeroy has been making quite an impression on the Milan and Paris fashion week scenes with her beautiful, colorful clothing and playful style. This pop of yellow was a welcome dose of sunshine on a gray day outside the Ann Demeulemeester show. Also, I am really loving the look of a bejeweled necklace worn over a sweater and just beneath the shirt collar for spring. It’s a style we’ve seen on several fashionable girls here.

These two Allure editors are so stylish separately but even more stylish together. David Thielebeule and Treena Lombardo both wore expertly layered looks to yesterday’s Jason Wu show. Love all the texture on him and the play on proportions in her outfit.

Monika Chiang FW 2012
There are new designers, and then there are new designers whose clothes are loved by models – and God bless you if you fall into the latter camp. Monika Chiang’s clothes are already a wardrobe staple for several Hollywood celebs – her first stores opened out in L.A. Now they’re a favorite of models like Elettra Wiedemann, who wore several of Chiang’s designs during a recent Refinery 29 photo shoot and at yesterday’s presentation in her official role as muse for the fall collection.
The fall collection was notable for its shoes, which ranged from flats to wildly studded high tops to death-defying stilettos made with a gilded metal spike. Jackets and vests made of fur, suede, wool felt and leather – or often a combination of two – were particularly luscious yet practical for city living. (more…)

Glamour’s Susan Cernek was featured in WWWD today, which reminded me: I have this photo of her looking smashing outside the Céline show in Paris in flame-colored wool pants. Fashion week regular Jenny Kang really knows how to put together an outfit – and what she wears is also a good indicator of what’s going to be in style months from now. Look out for more colorblocking and electric blue come winter. And those Alexander Wang silver tassel loafers are already a classic.

Girl in a Floral Dress, Outside Chanel
The Chanel show in Paris always attracts all sorts of fashion fans, some there to take photos, some there to just take in the scene. This girl arrived in a vintage-looking floral dress with a belt artfully twisted around. The socks and boots are also great for fall.

Black and white has long been a popular sartorial choice in early fall, when it’s still too warm for lots of autumn color. This year the fashion set is interpreting it with a distinct menswear spin.
