Mommy Blogger: Chiara Ferragni at Coach SS2018
If a fashion blogger becomes a mother, what happens to her Instagram feed? WWD today reports on the “baby boom” among fashion bloggers, many of whom started out at age 22-24 and are now nearing 30. Seen here at Coach in September, Chiara Ferragni was several months pregnant at the time, unbeknownst to us, and now sonogram videos and other intimate family moments are interspersed with fashion posts. Many Instagram posts by Chiara and other bloggers like Chriselle Lim, Eva Chen and Arielle Charnas, however, differ from the previous generation’s endless stream of baby pics on Facebook. They’re carefully posed – or hilariously unscripted – moments with kids, who often happen to be wearing great outfits. Instagram’s own Eva Chen was the first-to-market on this trend. Enter the next wave of sponsorships…
All Eyes on You: Decoupage Dress, Art Basel Miami 2017
Dresses and Sandals, Art Basel Miami 2017
On this frigid day in New York City, we’re still dreaming of sunny Miami and the great resort looks we saw there. At the Scope Art Fair, two guests wore painterly dresses with sandals. Chic and practical.
Seeing Double: Erica Pelosini and J.J. Martin at Marni SS2018
Erica Pelosini and J.J. Martin wore matching prints from J.J.’s fashion line La Double J to the Marni show. The looks are part of a welcome trend to replicate vintage prints with modern materials, so there’s no more sweating away in thick polyester just so you can wear something cool and retro. For La Double J., Martin goes through troves of prints in an Italian archive, then licenses and reproduces them in Italy with eye-catching results.

Pink for Fall: Yasmin Sewell at Tome SS2018
A great shade of dusty rose on a print dress on Yasmin Sewell at the Tome show in NYC.
Pretty in Pink: Caroline Issa at Giorgio Armani SS2018
Caroline Issa in a pink print frock at the Giorgio Armani show. The cut outs at the shoulder are very on trend – we’ve seen a lot of this cut on silk dresses and tops, while it was previously mostly in knitwear.
Details on Sofie Valkiers, NYFW SS2017
Loved this clever gilded cage bag as carried by Sofie Valkiers at New York fashion week.
His and Hers: J’aime Tout Chez Toi at NYFW SS2017
Nice end-of-summer looks on Alice Barbier and J.S. Roquer of J’aime Tout Chez Toi.
Spring Details: Floral Skirt and Snakeskin Print Boots at Lacoste FW2017
A mix of spring patterns was a nice harbinger of the warm weather to come.
Giorgia Tordini at Chanel Couture SS2017
Leopard-print pants mixed with a fur-trimmed jacket give a feline spin to this look on Giorgia Tordini at the Chanel couture show. The thing that takes it to the next level is the white shoes and bag in winter – a daring choice that really works.
Star Struck: Sofia Sanchez de Betak at Valentino Haute Couture FW2016
Whimsical, colorful prints are going to be big this fall season, and we got a sneak preview of just how beautiful they can be with Sofia Sanchez de Betak’s star-printed look at the Valentino couture show in Paris.
Check, Please: Alexandra Golovanoff in Gingham
How to do gingham now: Alexandra Golovanoff brought this classic check into 2016 with a a voluminous jumpsuit with puffed sleeves. Cute and modern. Also note the new silhouette for heels now: low and blocky.
Lynn Yaeger at Chanel Couture FW2016
As we get deep into shorts and T-shirt weather, let us take inspiration from Lynn Yaeger, who has been known to say that she doesn’t own any “normal” clothes. Summer dressing is a lot less boring with a mix of bohemian prints and lace.
