With spring fully upon us, I am definitely feeling the need for some culottes. Skinny jeans were nowhere to be found outside the shows this season, and as hard as it is to pry oneself away from a trusty standard, it’s time to start wrapping one’s mind around a different silhouette like this one.

We spotted her at the Louis Vuitton show in one of her signature pink coats – a spring-y but warm look perfect for transitional weather. Does this mean Rent the Runway will start carrying Vuitton?!? I love this planetary print of Valentino’s, and it looked particularly cute on Ella Catliff of La Petite Anglaise at the Valentino show. Extra points for matching her lipstick to the exact shade of her shoes and bag. And yes, hot pink lipstick is a great way to get your spring groove on now, even if it’s still cold in the Northeast.

Pink Fur Coat, Outside Elie Saab Couture SS2015
We saw a lot of elaborate fur coats outside the Paris couture shows, and with temperatures dipping into the teens in New York, expect to see more when New York Fashion Week starts on Thursday. Many of the coats were dyed in fanciful colors, especially pink.

JJ Martin at Fendi SS2015
I don’t know how fashion writer J.J. Martin finds all these fabulous vintage clothes, but she certainly has an eye for them. Loved this stripey pink and black one at the Fendi show, which had side slits before so many designer started doing them this season.

Moschino Invasion: Julia Sarr-Jamois at Missoni SS2015
Ever since the Moschino show this week there’s been a Moschino invasion in Milan, with the Barbie-pink clothes and accessories showing up on all sorts of trendsetters. Julia Sarr Jamois was one, sporting a Moschino sweatshirt from their new collection emblazoned with 70s roller disco lettering. Also note her jeans: wide legged and a pale shade of denim.
