Vanessa Friedman at Louis Vuitton
FT fashion editor and front-row fixture Vanessa Friedman wore a great high-low mix to Louis Vuitton, on the last day of fashion month. This outfit is actually quite comfortable and warm – it’s a sweatshirt jersey dress under that luxurious fur vest – but so chic.
Fall Colors, Outside Hermès
Loved the saturated fall colors in this cute skirt and top ensemble with leopard print flats. The contrasting white collar is also great for Fall 2011.
Geraldine Saglio at Carven
This French Voguette made waves this past Paris Fashion Week with her sporty but chic outfits. Here she pairs white jeans with a khaki top and leopard clutch for safari-inspired look that’s great for transitional weather. Detail shot of her shoes and bag, after the jump. (more…)
Black and White Dress, Outside Chloé
I just adored this black and white dress outside the Chloé show. A picture-perfect look on a beautiful day. It also speaks to the pervasive influence of Dior’s New Look in fashion right now – ladylike pumps and dresses with a slight 1950s flare to the skirt.
Hanne Gaby Odiele at Chloé
Hanne Gaby Odiele was definitely one of the best dressed models off duty this past Paris fashion week. Here she leaves the Chloé show in a laser cut brown leather top, zigzag cardigan and skinny leather pants. A great combination of color, textures and pattern.
Girl in a Floral Dress, Outside Chanel
The Chanel show in Paris always attracts all sorts of fashion fans, some there to take photos, some there to just take in the scene. This girl arrived in a vintage-looking floral dress with a belt artfully twisted around. The socks and boots are also great for fall.
Postscript: This is Doina Ciobanu from The Golden Diamonds – both taking photos and taking in the scene!
Caroline Issa at Viktor & Rolf
Caroline Issa of Tank Magazine wore a number of great outfits over Paris fashion week, but this one from the Viktor & Rolf show has to be my favorite. I love the elaborate embroidery on this black dress, very 1940s, like the vintage needlepoint bag Ulyana Sergeenko carried earlier in the week. (You can find lots of them on eBay if you’re in the market.)
Giovanna Battaglia at Lanvin
Stylist Giovanna Battaglia arrived at Lanvin in a two-tone saturated orange and brown dress tied at the hips. Loved the accessories too: envelope clutch, translucent orange framed glasses and gold choker.
Roxane Mesquida at Dior
Gossip Girl actress Roxane Mesquida almost escaped unseen outside Dior, where she was partially disguised by a big floppy teal hat. Love the mix of saturated jewel-tone colors that are very big for fall 2011. The bag is Dior.
Virginie Mouzat at Carven
This past fashion week, we admired Virginie Mouzat, fashion editor of the Parisian daily Le Figaro, not just for her sense of style but her fearlessness on the page. In an age when so many fashion “reviews” tiptoe around anything negative in an established designer’s collection (for fear of alienating advertisers?), she completely panned Tom Ford’s collection in New York. Brava! Sometimes the truth is just black and white.
Polka Dot Dress at Ann Demeulemeester
Of all the current and runway trends to emerge from fashion week, one thing was clear: the tough biker looks of years past have given way to a new ladylike aesthetic. This black and white polka dot dress with white Prada bag, pearls and Hollywood movie star sunglasses is a great example of the tailored, pretty new look.

Hanne Gaby Odiele, Outside Rochas
Hanne Gaby Odiele walked the runway at the Rochas show then emerged in this amazing outfit of expertly mixed patterns. Gorgeous! Keep an eye out for print pants like these – they were all the rage in Paris, both at designer and contemporary price levels.
Caroline Seiber at Valentino
Valentino’s clothes are not for wallflowers. But if you’re willing to be the center of attention, then wow. Caroline Seiber was the proverbial lady in red at Tuesday’s Valentino show, turning all heads in a red jumpsuit as she strode into the Tuileries. (more…)
Elisa Nalin at Chanel
Stylist Elisa Nalin has really raised the bar for street style with her colorful, individualistic outfits. On this first cool day of Paris fashion week, she wore a deconstructed trench with arms made of pinstriped shirting to the Chanel show.
Grace Coddington at Louis Vuitton
The world of fashion photography would not be what it is today were it not for Grace Coddington, creative director of Vogue, who paused for a photo yesterday outside the Louis Vuitton show. This fashion week, she wore a lot of black and white, which in Paris will always evoke two other fashion greats, Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent.
