Anna Wintour at Michael Kors SS2015
Anna Wintour wore a khaki dress with a white floral print to the Michael Kors show yesterday. This warm khaki color, a signature Michael Kors color, is figuring prominently in men’s and women’s collections this fall.
Veronika Heilbrunner at Schiaparelli FW2014
Veronika Heilbrunner of German Harper’s Bazaar really knows how to work the athletic look. During couture week in Paris, she mixed a sexy black tank top with a ribbed orange skirt and cork Nike hightops. Detail shot of those sneakers, after the jump. (more…)
Anna Wintour at Schiaparelli
I was initially against the idea of the “Ice Bucket Challenge,” seeing it as a kind of slacktivism. But apparently many of those who take the challenge, in which you have to throw a bucket of ice water over your head or give $100 to benefit A.L.S. research, end up donating either way. Over $13M has been donated to ALS research since this fad started. Never one to ignore a trend, Anna Wintour has just taken the challenge and captured it on video. See the video here – or see her in her normal dignified work state, as at the Paris couture shows, above.
Binx Walton, After Chanel FW2014
Little did we know when we spotted new model Binx Walton after the Chanel fall ready-to-wear show in Paris that she would be part of the label’s fall ad campaign as shot by Karl Lagerfeld. She layered an oversize black sweater with a silver padlock necklace and a sheer purple maxi skirt and mid-calf boots – a look that went well with the hair and makeup from the Chanel show. Close-up, after the jump. (more…)
Crop Top and Maxi Skirt, Outside Schiaparelli
Don’t think that because summer’s on the wane, so are crop tops. Long sleeved ones like this one are sure to be a popular choice come September and October, especially when paired with a cool maxi skirt.
Tina Leung at Balmain FW2014
A cool trench is a great way to brighten up a rainy day. Stylist Tina Leung of Tina Loves wore a colorful burgundy and blue wave print trench to the Balmain show in Paris.
Elisa Nalin at Gucci FW2014
It’s that terrifying time of year again: time to bare one’s legs after a long winter. Do what Elisa Nalin stylishly did in Milan and ease into it gradually with a minidress, blazer and loafers.
Yellow Sailor Pants, Outside Comme des Garcons
Bright yellow will inject the feeling of spring into any outfit – even though it may still be cold enough for coats.
Powder Blue, Outside 3.1 Phillip Lim
Loving icy blues, pinks and greens as transitional colors from winter to spring this year, especially if you do one color head to toe like this guest at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show.
Caroline de Maigret at Isabel Marant FW2014
French top model Caroline de Maigret wore an Etoile Isabel Marant cotton coat to the designer’s show in Paris. I love the shades of blue all over – including jeans and a denim Chanel clutch – and the tribal vibe of this spring coat. Very sexy and cool.
Elisa Nalin at Chanel FW2014
This cute outfit on Elisa Nalin is one of my favorite things she’s ever worn. The knit top is by Michaela Buerger, the skirt Sonia Rykiel and the clutch by Sara Battaglia. Also we have seen a lot of flats on women outside the shows. Most are not as extreme as sneakers with evening wear à la Chanel couture, but many women have been pairing skirts and cropped trousers with pretty oxfords and brogues. (more…)
Anna Wintour at Rochas FW2014
Anna Wintour has been a big presence on the Paris fashion week scene, going to show after show. Here she is at the Rochas show in a beautiful graphic print coat in black, white, bronze and silver plus her trademark necklaces.
Two Girls in the Snow, Outside Dolce & Gabbana
Two girls dressed alike in a very Italian take on pink and green outside the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan. We had miserable weather that day, and still they looked managed to look fabulous.
