Cozy Chic: Anya Ziourova at Jason Wu SS2021
Color Play: Striped Dress and Red Heels, Astor Place, April 2018
Spotted in Astor Place: someone who obviously has an eye for color – even the coffee cup sleeve picks up on the red in the rest of her outfit. The Blick Art Supply bag may be the ultimate artsy accessory.
Spring Layers, Noho, April 2018
A cute look on Lafayette Street on a particularly warm day. Especially love the accessories: navy bucket bag, ballet flats round sunglasses – and of course, a wonderfully shaggy dog.
Get to Work: Evangelie Smyrniotaki at Valentino SS2018
Pinstripe pants made for a business chic look on Evangelie Smyrniotaki at the Valentino show.
Newsmaker: Chriselle Lim at Dior SS2018
Chriselle Lim, who turned down a $1M+ beauty deal to focus on her own independent branding business, seen here in navy at the Dior show.
Etro Coat on Nausheen Shah at Carolina Herrera
Farewell, coats: One of my favorite coats of Fashion Month, an embroidered one by Etro, on Nausheen Shah at the Carolina Herrera show.
Throwback Thursday: Caroline Seiber at Chloe FW2012
A good indicator of great style: An outfit from five years ago still looks au courant today, as with Caroline Seiber at the Chloe show in the Tuileries in March 2012.
Making the Transition: Paola Alberdi at Carolina Herrera SS2017
Transitional weather calls for a transitional look: Paola Alberdi layered a navy and red coat over a polka dot jumpsuit at the Carolina Herrera show in New York.
Pajama Dressing: Chiara Ferragni at Chloe SS2017
This trend’s got legs: pajama dressing has been around for a couple seasons now, but this fall the looks are more sophisticated, like this navy silk pajama set on Chiara Ferragni. We noticed many women dressing for evening shows and dinners in silk pajamas. The style has particular appeal because it’s so comfortable, which is the way women really want to dress now.
Keep It Light: Caroline Issa at Valentino FW2016
We may not be fully out of the cold weather yet, but you can keep it light and breezy with a long lightweight coat, which are getting more play on the streets than cropped jackets this season. Caroline Issa wore a beautiful lace coat by Sacai over cropped jeans to the Valentino show.
Virginia Smith at Haider Ackermann FW2015
Jeans are undergoing some major changes for 2015. Continuing from the boyfriend jeans trend of the previous year, they’re getting even wider and slouchier, like these sailor-style jeans seen on Vogue’s Virginia Smith at the Haider Ackermann show in Paris. A similar but separate trend: flared jeans like the ones Ghesquière put on the runway at Louis Vuitton.
Color Story: Margaret Zhang at Chloe FW2015
It may still be too cold for shorts, but you can always change the story by shifting to spring colors, like this caramel and navy outfit on Margaret Zhang at Chloe. A silk scarf tied at the neck is not just a classic look but an instant spring 2015 update.
Black and Blue: Ines de la Fressange at Hermes FW2015
One of France’s great beauties, Inès de la Fressange, wore an elegant combination of navy, cream and black to the Hermes show in Paris. Mixing black and blue: one of the key tenets of fellow French model Caroline de Maigret in her book How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are. Detail shot of Inès, after the jump. (more…)
Black and Blue: Ece Sukan at Carven FW2015
We’ve seen a lot of mixing black and blue outside the shows this season, and Ece Sukan did it particularly well with a black studded leather jacket and navy pencil skirt.
Carlotta Oddi at Milan Fashion Week FW2015
Carlotta Oddi wore a cool mix of a blue blazer, striped top, flared jeans and an army green wrap to the first day of shows in Milan.
