It was so exciting to see top model Sui He, now number 13 in the world, exiting the Ralph Lauren show in NYC. I remember photographing her when she just hit the scene. Her June look is a harbinger for what we may see on models at Paris Haute Couture in July: all denim with some sweet kicks: metallic Nike Air Max 1 sneakers in “Party,” now sold out at Barneys. Red Valentino Skirt, Outside the Dior Show
The long-skirts-for-evening trend shows no sign of stopping, with many guests at the Dior show in Paris mixing long ballroom-style skirts with more casual black tops and sweaters. This antique-inspired Red Valentino skirt in a floral tapestry print looks great with modern silver stilettos and a green fur wrap.

Silver Margiela Pants, Outside the Carven Show
One of the biggest takeaways from the S/S 2014 fashion weeks is the new shape of pants. They’ve gone from the skinny “jeggings” type silhouette to something looser and more relaxed, in a variety of unexpected materials from leather to this silver metallic Maison Martin Margiela pair seen outside the Carven show. Love how she has mixed them with a soft and fuzzy cropped sweater for contrast. And yes, they should be worn with heels.
