It’s Linesiy Montero: the model exited the Etro show clad in a graffiti top by Jeremy Scott. That may look like a pack of smokes in her hand, but it’s actually a subversive and popular iPhone cover by Jeremy Scott for Moschino.

Meanwhile, on the other side of town, the fashion got wild at the Jeremy Scott show. Sam and Cailli Beckerman of Beckerman Blog mixed Moschino bags and Sponge Bob visor with sequins and painted jeans. Cailli Beckerman actually painted the Beavis and Butthead cartoons on those jeans herself – impressive!

Designer Jeremy Scott has really made a splash at Moschino, starting with his McDonald’s-themed collection of last season and now with a Sponge Bob Squarepants-themed one for fall. The mass market images are so jarring to see on high fashion – including evening gowns – that it makes you rethink this dichotomy altogether, rather like Karl Lagerfeld’s supermarket-themed show for Chanel. Are mass and class really total opposites, or have they merged? Italian blogger Eleonora Carisi of Jou Jou Villeroy wore a Moschino yellow Sponge Bob sweater under white overalls with a clutch appliquéd with images of pizza, cigarettes and an eye. We are watching, indeed.
Prints and Color, Outside Jeremy Scott
