Tiffany Reid and Nicole Chapoteau at Hugo Boss FW2020
Loved the Italian colors on Tiffany Reid and Nicole Chapoteau in Milan. Look for more of these long leather or faux leather coats this spring – they’re so versatile and great in many types of weather.
Ti Amo, Milano
Fourteen days and what seems like a lifetime ago, Milan Fashion Week was the most enjoyable fashion week I attended this year. The weather was beautiful – sunny and 60 degrees – the clothes were cheerful pops of color, almost everyone was in a good mood, and the living was easy. It wasn’t until the last day that coronavirus started to affect the city. Milan, we are wishing you a return to la dolce vita very soon.
One important fashion takeaway from Milan fashion week: saturated color. This is one of the things Italy has always done best. Again we are seeing monochromatic dressing here, but revved up for spring. Think of it as superhero outfits, separates in the same bright color from head to toe, often a pantsuit. Helena Bordon at Hugo Boss SS2016
Silk pleats in an abstract floral print are light and lovely for a summer day in Midtown, as seen on Helena Bordon at the Hugo Boss SS2016 show.
Michelle Harper at Boss Womenswear FW2015
It has been good to see Michelle Harper again this week at Jason Wu’s shows, both his namesake brand and his collection for Hugo Boss. At the Boss Womenswear show, she wore a green and black dress and green and black fur with Iris Apfel-esque big round sunglasses. Round lenses have been making a comeback in the fashion set.
Danielle Bernstein at Hugo Boss
Loved this green printed pantsuit on Danielle Bernstein outside the Hugo Boss show. Also: that flash of ankles.
Bryanboy at Hugo Boss
More love for Valentine’s Day: At the Hugo Boss show, Bryanboy carried an amazing “love” Lego clutch from Les Petits Jouers. The cobalt blue suede jacket is Calvin Klein, the suit Valentino and the additional bag – because you can never have just one – Chanel.
