Spring Mix, Outside Cedric Charlier FW2015
A cool mix of high and low fashion – military bomber jacket and jeans with a print top and fabulous mules.
Blue Jacket and Khaki Skirt, Outside Carven FW2015
Hemlines: up or down? Why decide? A lot of great skirts now play with two different layers and lengths. This khaki one outside the Carven show worked beautifully with a blue varsity jacket.
Mother Daughter Duo, Outside Louis Vuitton FW2015
Mother Daughter Duo: Emmanuelle Alt and Francoise at Rodarte FW2015
Happy almost Mother’s Day! Vogue Paris editor Emmanuelle Alt took her equally stylish daughter to the Rodarte show in New York. Quelle mignonne!
Nausheen Shah at Issey Miyake FW2015
Big coats with beautiful draping were noticeable everywhere this past fashion week season, including a plaid and dusty pink Johanna Ortiz coat seen on Nausheen Shah. Look for more come fall – or layer a lightweight one on top of an all white outfit right now.
Sylvia Haghjoo at Issey Miyake FW2015
Getting ready for the glamour tonight at the Met Ball. At the Issey Miyake show in Paris, Sylvia Haghjoo of the fashion blog Hug You injected a bit of glamour into a daytime look with a dress adorned with feathers under a mustard-colored suede coat. Louis Vuitton bag.
Tropical Punch: Adriana Abascal at Issey Miyake FW2015
Tropical prints like this Tracy Reese skirt on Mexican actress Adriana Abascal are a refreshing pop of color to usher in the warm weather. I also like how she mixed it with multicolored Jimmy Choo shoes, a blue clutch and blue sunglasses without looking too matchy-matchy.
Culottes and a Fringe Bag, Outside Elie Saab
With spring fully upon us, I am definitely feeling the need for some culottes. Skinny jeans were nowhere to be found outside the shows this season, and as hard as it is to pry oneself away from a trusty standard, it’s time to start wrapping one’s mind around a different silhouette like this one.
Saskia de Brauw at Mugler FW2015
I love how top model Saskia de Brauw combines different layers with such panache. She exited the Mugler show in Paris wearing an oversize gray coat, skinny scarf tied at the neck, oxford and a shirt dress. And yes, that is a bike helmet in her hand. After walking the runway, she just biked home like a regular Parisian!
Caroline Issa at Kenzo FW2015
It may not be warm enough to ditch that outer layer just yet, but at least we can switch from black to blue for a more springlike look, as Caroline Issa did with a belted coat at the Kenzo show in Paris.
Long White Sweater and Sheer Skirt, Outside Cedric Charlier FW2015
Another long white sweater, this time on a guest at the Cedric Charlier show. Not only is it great with a sheer skirt underneath, it looks super comfy.
Leila Yavari at Carven FW2015
Such a cool look on Leila Yavari at the Carven show in Paris – and a good example of how ’90s grunge has been repurposed with a more sophisticated edge for 2015.
Anya Ziourova at Balmain FW2015
A chic and sophisticated look on Anya Ziourova in crisp black and white at the Balmain show in Paris. The neck tie, with just one fold at the throat and the ends dangling long, is particularly in fashion right now. Try it with any silk scarf.
Two Maximalist Looks, Outside Elie Saab FW2015
Two maximalist looks, complete with furs (one in pink), beautiful beading, suede and fringe on Erica Pelosini and a friend at the Elie Saab show in Paris.
