Pretty in Pink, Outside Hermes
Like a certain other street style photographer at the New York Times, I am loving the pretty pastel pinks that are appearing like early signs of spring. Outside the Hermès show in Paris, a guest wore a pink cotton shirtdress wrapped with a pink wrap belt and accessorized with a matching pale pink bag and shoes. Red Valentino Skirt, Outside the Dior Show
The long-skirts-for-evening trend shows no sign of stopping, with many guests at the Dior show in Paris mixing long ballroom-style skirts with more casual black tops and sweaters. This antique-inspired Red Valentino skirt in a floral tapestry print looks great with modern silver stilettos and a green fur wrap.

Caroline de Maigret at Isabel Marant FW2014
French top model Caroline de Maigret wore an Etoile Isabel Marant cotton coat to the designer’s show in Paris. I love the shades of blue all over – including jeans and a denim Chanel clutch – and the tribal vibe of this spring coat. Very sexy and cool.

Elina Halimi at Chanel FW2014
Elina Halimi of Paris’ Kabuki boutique wore a snakeskin print jacket and wide-legged ivory trousers to the Chanel show. This is the new shape of pants for 2014 – wide-legged and cropped to reveal the ankle – and yes, you can wear white boots before Memorial Day. They’re actually great for spring.

Elisa Nalin at Chanel FW2014
This cute outfit on Elisa Nalin is one of my favorite things she’s ever worn. The knit top is by Michaela Buerger, the skirt Sonia Rykiel and the clutch by Sara Battaglia. Also we have seen a lot of flats on women outside the shows. Most are not as extreme as sneakers with evening wear à la Chanel couture, but many women have been pairing skirts and cropped trousers with pretty oxfords and brogues. (more…)

Anya Ziourova at Chanel FW2014
Another shot of Anya Ziourova, who is really killing it this season. At the Chanel show in Paris, she wore a camel coat, gray felt hat and a colorful woven scarf. The show itself had a supermarket theme, and afterwards guests could pick out whatever they liked from the aisles. Most emerged from the show with just a pastry or a few bananas. Veronika Heilbrunner and Justin O’Shea at Stella McCartney
These two are one of the most glamorous couples in fashion, and it’s always a thrill to see them walking into a show together. Veronika Heilbrunner of Germany’s Harper’s Bazaar wore a lavender Christopher Kane paisley cut out dress to the Stella McCartney show yesterday, and Justin O’Shea wore his trademark three-piece suit. Also note the sneakers with the dress – very Chanel!
