Blush Pink at Stella McCartney
Blush pink is a breath of fresh air this spring as we move away from the neon brights of previous years and towards pastels for 2013. One guest wore pale pink head to toe at the Stella McCartney show in Paris, including a fuzzy pastel pink sweater for a cool spring day.
Sarah Rutson at Stella McCartney
Lane Crawford’s Sarah Rutson really knows how to put an outfit together. Love the rich textures and colors of the embroidered sweater and floral print silk pencil skirt. Then she adds a belt, sleek metallic stilettos and lots of jewelry. It’s maximalism at its finest and a great example of layering during transitional weather.
Elena Perminova at Chanel
This is how to do the exposed midriff, 2013-style. Note that it is not the Jennifer Aniston early 2000’s exposed midriff with lots of skin showing. Elena Perminova paired a crop top with high waisted white pants at the Chanel show and looked perfectly elegant. Heels and high waisted pants or skirts are the key to wearing crop tops now.
Susie Lau at Theyskens’ Theory
Surprisingly chic right now: all denim from head to toe. At the Theyskens’ Theory show in New York, Susie Lau of Style Bubble mixed different shades of blue denim, all from ASOS, and finished the look with Prada shoes.
Eleanora Carisi at Alberta Ferretti
Here’s how to wear the 2013 Pantone color of the year, emerald. Eleanora Carisi wore a beautiful embroidered emerald green dress by No. 21 to the Alberta Ferretti show. The bag (close up after the jump) is by Sara Battaglia – yes, that’s the sister of Giovanna! (more…)
Anya Ziourova at Ralph Lauren
If only Kim K. would take a few fashion cues from the pregnant and very stylish Anya Ziourova, fashion director of both Tatler and Allure Russia. She wore heels this past fashion week season, yes, but otherwise stayed covered up and comfortable. Here she manages black leather pants while pregnant. A week or so later she really started to show and shifted to still stylish but even looser fitting outfits like this one. Very chic for any woman, especially a pregnant one!
Mademoiselle Yulia at Kenzo
Colorful abstract leopard prints by Kenzo got a lot of play outside the shows in Paris, especially at Kenzo’s own show, where Japanese DJ and designer Mademoiselle Yulia wore a Kenzo dress and coat that complemented her elaborately multicolored hair.
Anne Catherine Frey at Viktor & Rolf
Fashion blogger and Luxembourger Anne Catherine Frey wore a Carven dress and Sandro biker jacket to the Viktor & Rolf show in Paris. I love these pale blues for the beginning of spring. Detail shot of the dress, which features a map of Paris, after the jump. (more…)
Miroslava Duma at Ralph Lauren
Now is the perfect time of year to experiment with hats. Miroslava Duma wore one of the Spanish, bolero-inspired flat topped hats from Ralph Lauren’s spring 2013 collection to the show in New York, nicely styled with her braided-edge velvet jacket half on, half off. The bag is by the Row.
Pink Coat and Flower Applique Skirt, Outside Chloe
I love this dusty pink color for this time of year, when the light has changed but it still feels too cold to be spring. A guest at the Chloe show wore a dusty pink coat, pink jacket, transparent white blouse and white flower applique skirt with a Chloe bag.
Saskia de Brauw at Stella McCartney
Model Saskia de Brauw has really distinctive personal style. Most of us could not pull off overalls, but she makes them look super chic. Here she exits the Stella McCartney show in Paris in overalls, a tweed coat, leather bag and rugged lace-up boots.
Anna Dello Russo at Reed Krakoff
Think pink! Not only is this color trending for fall 2013, it’s a great way to usher in the spring right now. Anna Dello Russo wore a pink brocade Rodarte S/S 2013 dress to the Reed Krakoff show in New York. Her bag is actually an iPhone case with a leather & chain strap.
Michelle Elie at Kenzo
Garage Magazine‘s Michelle Elie is one of my favorite women to photograph at fashion week, because she’s not afraid to take risks. She wore a particularly cool outfit to the Kenzo show: Kenzo top, Miu Miu platforms, and an H&M visor. Close up of those shoes, after the jump. (more…)
Caroline Issa at Jil Sander
What’s big for fall 2013? Skirts! There’s no reason not to get into this trend now, especially as fun print skirts like this Emilia Wickstead skirt on Caroline Issa debut for spring. The camel coat is Schumacher.
