This was one of the only times Parisian drivers did not honk or yell when blocked by an impromptu street style photo shoot. All they could do was stare at glamazon Elena Perminova in sky high lace-up suede boots and a micro mini dress.

It was great to see Elena Perminova back on the scene at Paris Couture. At the Christian Dior show on Tuesday, she mixed a silver silk dress with a classic boater hat and metallic sunglasses – a chic combination of old and new for summer.

This is how to do the exposed midriff, 2013-style. Note that it is not the Jennifer Aniston early 2000’s exposed midriff with lots of skin showing. Elena Perminova paired a crop top with high waisted white pants at the Chanel show and looked perfectly elegant. Heels and high waisted pants or skirts are the key to wearing crop tops now.

I’ve photographed Russian former model Elena Perminova at previous fashion weeks, but this season I became totally obsessed with her. Her outfits were totally amazing day after day, including this daring surrealist print worn head to toe at Chanel. The pattern is actually retro telephone buttons. Fringed Sweater and Tiger Print Dress, Outside Giambattista Valli
I love the tribal-ness of this outfit – the fringed sleeve of the deconstructed sweater looks like a hank of fur, and the tiger stripes are fierce in their own right. Indeed, preparing for a fashion show is a lot like preparing for battle.
