Victoria Beckham at Marc Jacobs SS 2008
Street style and Throwback Thursday: it could be a dangerous combination, right? But I have so many photos in the archives, and some of them are worth revisiting.
This is from the notorious Marc Jacobs show that ran two hours late and sent editors and journalists like Suzy Menkes into a tizzy. Victoria Beckham was the last to arrive. I didn’t even need to use a flash to take this photo – there were so many others going off around me. Beckham was still very much “Posh” at this point – I doubt she would wear a Herve Leger bandage dress now – her style has changed a lot.
Mademoiselle Yulia at Kenzo
Colorful abstract leopard prints by Kenzo got a lot of play outside the shows in Paris, especially at Kenzo’s own show, where Japanese DJ and designer Mademoiselle Yulia wore a Kenzo dress and coat that complemented her elaborately multicolored hair.
Anne Catherine Frey at Viktor & Rolf
Fashion blogger and Luxembourger Anne Catherine Frey wore a Carven dress and Sandro biker jacket to the Viktor & Rolf show in Paris. I love these pale blues for the beginning of spring. Detail shot of the dress, which features a map of Paris, after the jump. (more…)
Anna Dello Russo at Reed Krakoff
Think pink! Not only is this color trending for fall 2013, it’s a great way to usher in the spring right now. Anna Dello Russo wore a pink brocade Rodarte S/S 2013 dress to the Reed Krakoff show in New York. Her bag is actually an iPhone case with a leather & chain strap.
Princess Deena Abdulaziz at Louis Vuitton
Saudi Princess Deena Abdulaziz, who is also the owner of influential Riyadh boutique D’NA, is one of the most elegantly dressed women on the fashion scene today. She was recently profiled on Vogue.com on her way to fashion week.

Zhanna Romashka at Kenzo
Photographer and stylist Zhanna Romashka wore her favorite color combination of red and blue to the Kenzo show, a particularly apt color mix in Paris. Her head wreath of silk roses echoed the floral head wreaths we saw a lot of last summer on girls at music festivals like Bonnaroo – in case you’re looking for some festival dressing ideas.
Oksana On at Roberto Cavalli
Russian Glamour‘s Oksana On wore a striking gray dress to the Roberto Cavalli show in Milan. As in many of the fall/winter 2013 shows, the clothes on the street have been getting more muted, save for the occasional fashion week peacock or two, with the focus shifting away from bright colors and returning to sharp tailoring.
Catalina Zuluaga and Kika Vargas at Prabal Gurung
Catalina Zuluaga and Kika Vargas wore coordinating beautiful silk VARGAS dresses that caught the wind outside the Prabal Gurung show in New York.
Lynn Yaeger at Ralph Lauren
Someone we all look forward to seeing at NY Fashion Week: the inimitable Lynn Yaeger. She is quite the fashion maximalist and detailed her packing strategies for the European fashion weeks in this funny Travel & Leisure essay.
Ulyana Sergeenko at Marni
Russian designer Ulyana Sergeenko wore a floral dress and one of her distinctive hats to the Marni show in Milan.

Joanna Coles in Stella McCartney
Speaking of Cosmopolitan, here’s Cosmopolitan editor Joanna Coles in a cool black and white Stella McCartney sheath outside the Ralph Lauren show.
Caroline Seiber at Theyskens’ Theory
One thing I have personally been obsessed with this past fall is sheer black stockings. Formerly relegated to the back of the drawer in favor of opaque tights, they’ve made a huge comeback. Always ahead of the curve, Caroline Seiber paired a gorgeous gray dress (gray – also very au courant) with sexy sheer black stockings at last February’s Theyskens’ Theory show.
Ada Kokosar at Gucci
Stylist Ada Kokosar wore a pale peach No. 9 dress and black (faux?) fur jacket and matching hat to the Gucci show. The look is romantic and moody, though the sleek cut of the dress keeps it modern.
