Leandra Medine at Creatures of the Wind SS2015
Leandra Medine wore a great white shirt by Rosie Assoulin with jean shorts and sneakers to the Creatures of the Wind show in New York. Also love the sculptural wood clutch.
Anya Ziourova at Schiaparelli FW2014
Anya Ziourova is one of the best dressed women on the fashion week scene, and certainly one of the best dressed pregnant women anywhere. Rather than sticking to maternity clothes, she adapts current fashion to her changing shape. At the Schiaparelli show in Paris, she wore a green top and skirt with zigzag trim. Close up of her Olympia Le Tan “Greater Love” book clutch, after the jump. (more…)
Eva Chen at Dior Cruise 2015
I have been struggling with what to do about crop tops. Memories of Jennifer Aniston in red carpet appearances past have clouded my judgment somewhat, because this generation of crop tops is not the navel gazing version that plagued us in the early 2000s. Instead the new crop tops are often paired with high waisted pants and skirts, revealing just the tiniest bit of sexy skin, as Lucky editor Eva Chen did so effortlessly at the Dior Cruise show. I also love her work clutch, the sort of bag you see so often on fashion editors now.
Olivia Palermo at Dior Cruise 2015
Olivia Palermo looked beautiful as usual at the Dior Cruise show on Wednesday. A Spanish style fringed bolero jacket is a great topper for evening over a sheer white top, but Olivia added a little edge to the outfit with a black leather skirt with a slit up one side.
Chiara Ferragni at Emporio Armani FW2014
Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad wore a look straight off the Burberry runway to the Emporio Armani show in Milan: a pink lace Burberry skirt and clear plastic jacket, both embellished with jewels. Such a pretty and feminine look for spring.
Giovanna Battaglia at Dolce & Gabbana FW2014
Colorblock Coat, Outside Derek Lam
Take a cue from Louis Vuitton‘s Nicholas Ghesquière and mix light blue and burgundy for a retro ’70s look that’s fresh for 2014.
Jacquelyn Jablonski at Etro
Model Jacquelyn Jablonski is hosting a fashion and art-filled benefit for Autism Speaks this Thursday night at Milk Studios. Tickets can be had here. At the Etro show in Milan, she looked A-OK in a wolf sweatshirt, leather mini and boots.
Elizabeth von Guttman at Theory FW2014
This was one of my favorite outfits all season on Elizabeth von Guttman of System Magazine. To usher in the spring, it’s always a good bet to start with a black and white palette and add pops of color. The fox sweater is by Maison Kitsune.
Alexis Bryan Morgan at Peter Som FW2014
Still can’t get enough pink for spring 2014! Lucky Magazine’s Alexis Bryan Morgan wore an oversized pink coat to the Peter Som show in New York and accessorized with a pink clutch and pale pink scarf. White jeans and snakeskin print heels are another good investment for spring.
Cream Silk Coat, Outside Max Mara
A beautiful look for transitional spring weather. Outside the Max Mara show in Milan, a guest wore a long black vest under a pale cream silk coat for an invisible layer of warmth. The tomato red pants are a nice pop of color; the jeweled buckle flats are Prada. Also note: again, bared ankles for spring.
DKNY Jeans, Outside the Derek Lam Show
I had a dream last night about these DKNY jeans covered with decals, seen here on Dani Stahl outside the Derek Lam show, so I figured it was time to run the photo. A Valentino clutch and Fendi fur keyring add to the fun.
Elisa Nalin at Chanel FW2014
This cute outfit on Elisa Nalin is one of my favorite things she’s ever worn. The knit top is by Michaela Buerger, the skirt Sonia Rykiel and the clutch by Sara Battaglia. Also we have seen a lot of flats on women outside the shows. Most are not as extreme as sneakers with evening wear à la Chanel couture, but many women have been pairing skirts and cropped trousers with pretty oxfords and brogues. (more…)
Thinking Pink, Outside BCBG
Nasiba Adilova at Derek Lam
Buro 24/7‘s Nasiba Adilova – a great fashion insider to follow on Instagram BTW – looked fabulous in navy at the Derek Lam show. The flounced sleeves and the navy color of her dress are such a nice alternative to your basic black uniform – something to keep this in mind as winter nears.
