We’re seeing a trend/counter-trend effect here at New York Fashion Week, with romantic, flowy dresses a la Gucci dueling with the sporty look of vintage jeans. “These are my wings,” Garage Magazine’s Michelle Elie said of her leather Comme des Garçons halter and sleeves outside the Kenzo show in Paris. The Celine S/S 2014 collection, with its colorful paint splashed print, is seriously coveted by the fashion set. Fashion consultant Yasmin Sewell was one of the first to take it out for a spin, wearing a pretty Celine skirt under a blue coat at the Rochas show in Paris.

Zlata Mangafic, After Chanel
New model Zlata Mangafic was one of the most widely booked models during the past fashion week season and always a pleasure to encounter outside the shows. Her look reminds me of Chanel muse and model Stella Tennant, and like Ms. Tennant, she has laid-back but elegant personal style. After walking the Chanel show, Zlata left the Grand Palais in a green Edun leather jacket, Derek Lam tweed sequin skirt and Celine bag.
