Have a Good Time: Binx Walton at Dior SS2018
Binx Walton, still very cool and low key after all her success, including starring in this season’s Celine ads. Her “have a good time” sweatshirt was a welcome sight in the hectic scene outside the Dior show.
Kyle Anderson at Gucci Resort 2016
Marie Claire‘s Kyle Anderson battled a gloomy day in NYC with a camouflage jacket and combat boots.
Charlotte Free at Chanel FW2015
Charlotte Free, a true free spirit among models, after the Chanel show. I wish she had been at the punk-themed Met Ball – she would have been one of the only guests dressed appropriately. Follow her on Instagram for things like photos of her with Marilyn Manson.
Shiona Turini at Nina Ricci
Cosmopolitan’s fashion market editor and native Bermudian Shiona Turini is perhaps the most fashionable woman to emerge from Bermuda, well, ever. If you have ever whiled away a rainy summer afternoon rummaging through shops on Front Street in search of something that is not pink and green or patterned like your grandma’s tea cozy, you have felt my pain. And yet, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Shiona turns up at fashion weeks around the world fabulously attired. She was already sporting the trendy Fendi keychain in September, clipped to a fabulous Louis Vuitton clutch.
Simone Marchetti at Armani
La Repubblica‘s Simone Marchetti is one of the most dapper men on the European fashion scene. Camouflage has been a continuing motif for him, now updated in a pixelated houndtooth print version in this jacket, which I think is Valentino.
P.S. He is really fun to follow on Instagram if you want an inside look at the fashion world and, when he’s off duty, la dolce vita.

Sarah Rutson in Camouflage at Marni
Lane Crawford’s Sarah Rutson was is of the trendsetters who helped popularize cargo pants after they first appeared on the Balmain runway. Outside the Marni show, she wore a new menswear version with laces up the back and a camouflage parka. Sexy and sporty, all at once. Detail shot of the back of the trousers and boots after the jump. Simone Marchetti at Kenzo
Simone Marchetti, fashion editor of La Repubblica, is one of the best dressed men at fashion week and one we look forward to seeing every season. At the Kenzo show in Paris, he paired a Valentino camouflage jacket with white chinos and studded loafers which – ahem – are also available for women.
Balmain SS2011
Before there were slim cut cargo pants on every retail floor on every corner, there were slim cut cargo pants on the runway at Balmain. This French label spearheaded the military chic trend that has resonated with consumers over the past few seasons. Slightly androgynous but always sexy, Christophe Decarnin’s designs have quite a following, as evidenced by the cool crowd outside the Le Grand Hotel.
A fabulously tough look. Note the camouflage – a pattern that appeared on several fashion-forward editors. (more…)
