Black and White, Outside Schiaparelli FW2018
Step to It: Floral Boots, Outside Kate Spade FW2018
These colorful Balenciaga boots are always a welcome sight, but especially when we’re wishing for more actual flowers in NYC.
Spring Details: Annabel Rosendahl at Tory Burch FW2018
A couple things you need to know about: this new laminated Burberry trench with fluorescent stripes, and these chunky white Balenciaga sneakers, as seen on Annabel Rosendahl at NY Fashion Week. Both were wildly popular with guests and photographers at the shows this past Fashion Month. Full look after the jump (more…)
Mommy Blogger: Chiara Ferragni at Coach SS2018
If a fashion blogger becomes a mother, what happens to her Instagram feed? WWD today reports on the “baby boom” among fashion bloggers, many of whom started out at age 22-24 and are now nearing 30. Seen here at Coach in September, Chiara Ferragni was several months pregnant at the time, unbeknownst to us, and now sonogram videos and other intimate family moments are interspersed with fashion posts. Many Instagram posts by Chiara and other bloggers like Chriselle Lim, Eva Chen and Arielle Charnas, however, differ from the previous generation’s endless stream of baby pics on Facebook. They’re carefully posed – or hilariously unscripted – moments with kids, who often happen to be wearing great outfits. Instagram’s own Eva Chen was the first-to-market on this trend. Enter the next wave of sponsorships…
Traffic Stop: Elina Halimi at Balmain SS2018
Elina Halimi walked by les flics in Balenciaga shoes and a Louis Vuitton bag that blended right into the scene outside the Balmain show in Paris.
Look Sharp: Shoes and Bags in the Tuileries
Pointy-toed shoes were everywhere this fashion month, all but replacing the round-toed shoes of seasons past. They look especially sharp with a triangular Balenciaga bag.
DIY: Jamir Assad at NYFWM Day 3
One for the New York Times: Jamir Assad customized the classic utilitarian IKEA bag by sewing in zippers, panels and straps. You don’t need Balenciaga to do this!
Balenciaga Baseball Cap, Outside Lacoste FW2017
The humble baseball cap is becoming something of a high-fashion item. We spotted Miroslava Duma wearing one several times during Paris couture week, and then a Balenciaga cap appeared at New York fashion week. The caps in question are usually new and close-fitting for a polished look.
Eva Chen and Baby Bump at Lacoste SS2015
Eva Chen has a new look for fall: a baby bump! Here she is in a plaid Marc Jacobs dress, personalized Edie Parker clutch and Balenciaga boots outside the Lacoste show. Close up of the bag – and bump – after the jump. (more…)
Chanel iPhone Cover, Outside Balenciaga
Anna Dello Russo at Junya Watanabe FW2014
Definitely one of my favorite Anna Dello Russo outfits: black and white with gradients of gray, Fendi bag, long knit scarf and a big bowler hat. Classic Anna!
Carine Roitfeld at Balenciaga
Carine Roitfeld mixed animal prints with an Alaia zebra stripe coat and cowhide skirt at the Balenciaga show.
Plaid Coat, Madison Avenue
Thankfully, this year in NYC we’ve seen a move away from ubiquitous black puffer coats and towards more interesting colors and patterns, especially plaid. It isn’t just for fall anymore – it’s appearing throughout the winter. The bag is Balenciaga.
Tiffany Hsu at Balenciaga
Hong Kong’s Lane Crawford buyer Tiffany Hsu wore the coolest blue quilted dress to the Balenciaga show. The dress designer is Chictopia (like the website but not), but it’s not available in the West. The cobalt blue suede shoes are the perfect accessory.
Carlotta Oddi at Fendi
Such a cool look on Carlotta Oddi outside the Fendi show in Milan. The tee is Balenciaga. It’s hard to imagine what the fashion flock will do without Balenciaga’s former designer Nicholas Ghesquiere for even one season. So many fashion show attendees were wearing his designs this past fashion week.
