Tracee Ellis Ross wore bright bubble-gum pink to the Prada resort show – a fun burst of color on a warm night. It was great to see a celeb pairing a cocktail dress with sneakers, a trend we’ve seen on the kids of NYC that may be making its way to the red carpet.

Planned Parenthood held a gala earlier this month, and several guests wore saturated red. This look in particular with a white bag had echoes of the Handmaid’s Tale, with its visually stunning scenes of Margaret Atwood’s handmaids swirling by in identical long red dresses and white caps. Emily Mortimer wore Chanel’s classic monochrome black and white to the Tribeca Film Festival dinner, including a floor-length pleated maxi skirt. We really did not see many midi-length skirts at this fashion event despite their popularity in previous seasons. It was either mini or maxi and hardly anything in between.
